1. Standards of Conduct & Staff Accountability
In strict accordance with Article 18 of the Biyaya CDC Constitution, all members of our executive committee, staff and volunteers are required to be legally married, communicant, and born-again believers.
Every single worker must sign our mandatory Child Protection Agreement. Any breach or failure to uphold child protection regulations results in the immediate termination of leadership or employment status.
2. Media, Dignity & Privacy Standards
Dignity in Representation: We strictly follow dignity standards across all photography and videography displayed on this website. Children are always represented positively; no vulnerable or exploitative imagery is allowed.
Prior Consent: All beneficiaries must provide full consent — leveraging parental or guardian authorisation where applicable — prior to registration and any online storytelling feature.
Data Restrictions: We do not disclose specific addresses or identifiable information that could compromise a child living within the 3 km radius of our central location in Biyaya Village.
This is why sponsorship profiles on this site display a designated Profile ID, age and core need rather than exact home addresses — and why photographs are published only after documented consent.
3. Donor Interaction Framework
Communication Boundaries: To safeguard children, donors and sponsors are strictly prohibited from establishing direct communication with any beneficiary without the explicit, formal permission of the Biyaya CDC executive committee.
If you would like to send an encouragement, gift or message to a sponsored child, please route it through our Donor Relations team via the Contact page, and our committee will facilitate it appropriately.
